2005 tahoe supercharged return fuel system
#1
Ive got an 05 Tahoe supercharged with a maggie system. Ive been fighting a hard start issue since i purchased the truck. I replaced the fuel pump with a new walbro gs 340 pump after going over diag with magnuson. the issue got better but not gone, so called em back. was than told it was my regulator in the tank which is non serviceable. I purchased a new tank unit and maggies upgrades to the tank did not work as gm redesigned my module. so called them back sent a pic and they told me i dont have a reg in my tank???? i was confused as there was no reg on the rail and had to have one in the tank. so here is where my wild goose chase began.
long story short i decided my best option now was to build a return system as i "did not have an in tank regulator" now per supercharger connections as well. built the system and started the truck... same issues... getting upset at this point. called lonnies performance and talked to him a while and he insists that i do have a regulator. sent him my pics and he could not positively identify the regulator but assumes its in the grey housing in my pics of the fuel pump.
Now what i see is the fuel comes out of the pump into the grey cylinder than out the grey cylinder to the fuel outlet on the module. my plan is to eliminate the grey cylinder and go from pump to the outlet on the module?
Also my new pressure regulator is mounted off the front of the right fuel rail than the return goes to top of my fuel module. if this is not right please let me know but i believe its okay.
Thanks Guys,
Brad

Need a pic to really see..
In the bucket the regulator is a little black thing with a hose barb that looks just like one you would find on the rail. The grey thing is the filter, and the shiny thing is the pump.

unable to post pics. ill see what i can do. trust me there is not the traditional fuel pressure regulator in the tank on this truck. there have been 4 different people, that all the do all day long is boosted gm that agree something is diff here. i have a grey cylinder housing with a line in and a line out with a small grey device off the side of the cylinder that has to be some type of regulator. it looks almost like 2 legos and clips onto the grey cylinder next to the outlet to the fuel rail. this has to be some sort of regulator as there is nothing else that resembles a regulator here.
