Torque Converters
Being a GM guy we've found one of the best mods for us is a nice higher stall torque converter.
The GM truck guys are kinda blessed because we can use a converter from a Fbody(Camaro, Firebird). Yank who is a sponsor now stepped up and started building us truck specific converters though that allow full tow ratings and higher stalls. There are other manufactures coming out with performance truck converters from what I hear also.
I'm just wondering if anyone makes performance converters for the foreign model trucks? If not maybe one of you guys could work with Yank to come out with some new converters. It's really incredible what a 2600-3000 stall tc will do for a vehicle. Gains of .3-.5 seconds in the 1/4 mile are not out of line. It really makes driving an automatic alot more fun too.

"the head" on hear had his converter up'd to 2800 and noticed no gains as of yet in the titan, but I think he may bump it up to 3000 or higher, but I don't know for sure. As soon as we know what works i'll be jumping on the converter band wagon haha

Yeah roughly 2200-2300 stock. I had my stocker modified to 2800rpm but it isn't enough. The 4 cam motors we have don't particularly get mean until about 3500 rpm. This is one reason why the Hemis get the jump on the titan from a dead stop.

I should clarify that my 60' times did not change at all. I tried launching from idle all the way to the static 2800rpm and it didn't make a difference. I also tried many other rpms and that didn't help either. So I generally launch at about 1500rpm to keep the transmission fluid from heating up at the line and just let it flash.
It does let me get into the nitrous quicker, though...
