Yeah... these new F150's are pigs... not anywhere near the same levels as the old L's.

Roush jumped on this deal with one thing in mind..........$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$..........he knew that ford was not going to offer a "L" in the near future, so he jumped in it with good intentions, just didn't have all his stuff on hand he needed to get it to work! There is one here that runs HIGH 14s and if you ever met him, you'd laugh your nads off...........he looks at that roush decal like some term the HEMI. Nice looking truck, but no bingo when compared to a L. Go over to pickuptruck.com and look at the review mike magda did on it, he give it 5 stars, even when he could only turn a 15.xx in the 1/4.

One just came in the shop yesterday, it was a QC! Had "Roush" across the windshield and a pretty roush emblem next to the F-150 on the front quarter panels, looked good but as far as i'm concerned looks and 50 cents will get you a cup of coffee! Those 20" wheels wern't helping him much, either!

Ive already raced a 445 hp one. It was a good race, I walked into a Starbucks coffeshop and I noticed a Rousch F150 in the parking lot with the stickers still on the window. I was 100% sure a 445 hp one. I asked the guy if he wanted to race, he just smiled, He turned out to be the owner of the Ford dealership down the road. We both got on the interstate and with him infront of me coming off a on ramp up around 100ish I clearly started pulling him in but it was slowly. Had we both started at the same time Im sure I would have pulled slowly away.

Later I looked at this truck at the dealership it was a Rousch installed Eaton supercharger. It also had a exhaust and some other stuff on it as well. I think the only reason it was a close race is becasue It was from a 60 roll and he got the advantage of extra torque from the s/c.

I don't think they crack the internals on those motors, so if that's the case, they can't be running much boost thru them. I could be wrong, but I don't remember hearing anything about changin the comp ratio's and whatnot.

I would highly doubt it... doesn't seem like something Ford or Rousch would be willing to do. If it can't be bolted on or held on with tape I'm pretty sure they don't bother with it.

Well Roush maybe, but ya can't exactly say that about Ford. The L motor's are quite a bit different than a standard 5.4, internals wise anyway.

i second that, i heard the "forged or not" argument and still havent quite gotten all the details on it. all bulls#!t aside, the L performs excellent as a stock engine
