Put that RCSB 5.3 Silverado against a supercharged and intercooled 5.4 RCSB F-150 from '99 - '03 and it would be a good match. There are quite a few RCSB 5.4 F-150's with the Lightning blower swap (not even a twinscrew like the Radix) running well into the 12's. The 5.4's are not the best in making high HP numbers but that because they don't get to wind up as much as a 5.3L, but the 5.4L makes more than it's fair share of torque though. That's why the Lightnings are as quick as they are for the horsepower they make. Gobs of torque owing to a stroke that's longer than a 427 SBC's.

theres not one stock 5.4 n/a that will outrun a stock 5.3 n/a
also for the same amount of money you cant mod a 5.4 to outrun a 5.3
it costs to much to make power with a mod motor.

also id hope a lightning would outrun a stock 5.3 if it didnt then that would be sad

I'll give you the stock for stock. I'll give you the money thing as well. That's why you don't see many high powered N/A mod motors. But, if you have the money, the potential is there. The Mustang guys have been proving that for a while now.

Thats a sweet truck. The wheels are a bit too big though. Bet it would look even nicer in black.

Sal at PSP had a strong Gen 2. JDM has a low 10-second truck in house as well as turning out 10-second capable Lightnings every month.

WMS's old truck has turned 10's. Not sure what LFP's done to theirs.

The L's are starting to move more and more down the scale. A few years ago, most everyone was in the high 12's, some low, a few in the 11's and a couple in the 10's. Now pretty much everyone is either in the low 12's/high 11's, quite a few in the low 11's, and last time I checked there was 50 or so in the 10's. And that's just what's on the boards. I'm sure there's more than that runnin around.
