what should he look at geting and not. he wants fx4 f150 crew cab. what options does he need to look into what is bad and good about these things. thanks for any help

 

i have the 04 supercrew. the only things i dont like are the options that are available such as performance. not enough. i love mine. it rides smooth. it is a little low on the power side imo. as for the options i got it all. the one thing i dont like is the brake dust on the front wheels. other than that mine has worked out flawlessly.

 

where are some good places to get after market parts like lifts and roll bars for the bed and brush gards and such. what kinda mileage do you get. any good exhaust systems and intake its alway a good place to start

 

as for exhausts. there are plenty of places to get them. i think most like the magnaflow like i got. i have the SI/SO 3" catback. as for the intakes. you have to be kinda careful here. i think a lot of people are having problems with engine lights coming on as i did. i was running an airaid intake. i think the favorite is the airforce one intake. either can throw a code on certain vehicles. if so you will have to keep resetting the pcm to get it to go away and even that isnt a promise. a tune will be the only way to get it to go away. as for tunes i think troyer performance is the favorite as of now. they sell everything for thses trucks and are cool people. pm sent on some other info.

 

what the reason for the code?

 

the pcm's in these trucks is a control area network that is very sensitive. it will just throw a lean code.
