Great jumping Jesus! Got to have boost to keep up with LS1's? Give me a break. The LS1 motors spin a helluva lot higher than a 4.6 and a TON more than a 5.4. I guess the fact that an LS1 has a good bit more C.I. doesn't matter either. I know of a few N/A mod motor cars in the 10's and at least one in the 9's. Saying you MUST have a blower to keep up w/ an LS1 is retarded. Hell, other than porting the stock heads, there is no option for the heads on these motors. Going to a 32V head is a great improvment though. 5.4's are only good to about 5800 rpm w/ a 2 valve head. They are very similar to the 351W motors in that they have a very long stroke and are not a high RPM motor. Very good for low end torque. If you want N/A power from your 5.4, go to a Navi 32V tumble port head, some bad *** N/A cams, and a higher compression piston. You may get some 12's out of that setup with a PHENOMINAL tune.

Maybe on the 32v 5.4 that is in the Ford GT. I dont think they even spin that high. I'll have to look at the dyno sheet from the one we dyno'd and see what it got spun to.
The SOHC 16v motors stop making power around 5800 rpm.

All dohc na 4.6 redline at 6800. 96-96 cobras, 99 and 01 cobra, 03 and 04 mach 1 5 speeds. The auto machs are 5800 and the 03-04 cobras are 6400 I think. I think your friend is pulling your leg about the 7500.

I want to do the same thing on my 05 F-150 Fx4 I just got it. I'm going with 18X9 or 20X10 on 33s. I'm working on the exhaust right now. Go to the Ford Engine & Exhaust Performance part and see if you can answer my question. I also want a whipple supercharger for my truck. I want to beat my buddys 96 SS S-10 that he is working on putting a 2000 LS1 engine in.
