Black Truck Pictures

I am reaaaally new to the whole truck scene as I am coming from a Dodge Neon SRT4 needless to say I knew what the hell i was doing with that but the truck stuff is totally new. I traded in the srt4 for a 2007 F150 XLT 2wd SuperCab. I know nothing on where to go besides an intake. I dont know where to even start to look for aftermarket parts. I have been reading for the most part and kind of have an idea or two on what I want to do i.e. leveling kit, black halos, nightshade tails and rear brake light. I would like to get more ideas on what to do with my truck and want to see some albums or pictures of other Black f150's.

Here is some good news and bad news... we'll start with the bad.
This is mostly a GM truck site, and most of the mods are for GM trucks.
good news - you can still meet some very knowledgable guys, who can help you with basic questions, maybe not an emphasis on ford applications, but still a good round knowledge of power, speed, and truck performance.
First thing you need to do is figure out your goals - show truck? Sport truck (some show and go) or a track truck.
from what it sounds like, you want a sport truck... heed this universal warning -
Fast is not cheap, and cheap is not reliable.
So before you go and drop a supercharger or a turbo on your truck, with performance you must upgrade the supporting elements, ie drivetrain, etc.
If you keep to just (this ones for you brian) "bolt ons" you can probably manage around 25+ HP if you go with a good CAI, exhaust, tune (for the most part handheld tuners are crap, dont waste your money).
Post up some pics of your truck, get some ideas from members. You may get the occasionally ford hater, but ****'em... welcome to the site.

What sites should I look at for my model that are reliable. And I'm not really looking for performance just level and some aesthics like black tails, black wheels, black projectors, possibly some steps...maybe an intake and exhaust but idk where to look.

Below is a picture of my truck.....nothing too special. It's the Foose edition F150, it's got 22" foose wheels, roush supercharger, magnaflow exhaust, etc. Truck has run a best of 14.689 or something like that on the 22's and 14.6800 with the 18's bouncing off the rev limiter at the 1000ft mark. If you're planning on lowering the truck, I would go ahead and get a 3/5 because you won't be happy with the rear level, these trucks just sit way too high and every true lowering kit for the new f150's has a flip kit for the rear with a lifting shackle to bring it back up to a 4 or 5 inch drop instead of the 6-7 the flip kit typically creates. For headlights I would just buy some of the FX4/FX2/Harley headlights (they're all the same). That is what is on my truck and they look good and don't have the ricer look of the halos. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask, there aren't alot of Ford guys here, but there's a couple of us. Oh yeah, and welcome.

I've seen tons of people go and drop a whipple or roush blower on a stock 5.4 or 4.6 without changing anything, and come out fine. It's the same with the Foose and Harley F150's. they don't upgrade the driveline or internals.
Also, you CAN manage an extra 30hp with a hand held tuner, CAI, and exhaust. I know that's really not much, but it's something.

The S/C harleys are slow as **** and whine like hell the whole time. Increase the boost where you are actually making a difference and that is when stuff starts to break.
It will last for a bit depending on how much boost you run and how hard you are on it, but it's only a matter of time.
The point BodyGuard is making is you have to make sure you don't jump in over your head and spend all your money making power without beefing up the stuff all of that power is going to break. Don't put in a big cam and not change the springs or converter.
Since your just looking for visual mods you just want to make sure your truck flows together nicely. We should have a good number of Fords in the Show/Shine section with visual mods.
