Default 4.0 carb intake ??

I'm looking at swapping an early 4.0 into a 1984 Bronco II and I'd REALLY like to find a carb intake for it so I can skip all of the electronic mumbo-jumbo and keep this pretty simple....is there one available or am I gonna be screwed here ??

This is a bit crazy, but, ... I guess one could use a 2.8 carburetor manifold with spacers. Of course, one would have to make (or have made) the spacers.
I think this is possible ... Feasible is an entirely different story!

I looked into this already.....and it won't work AT ALL

It appears 2.9 stuff will work on the 4.0....but since the 2.9 was never carb'd it's kind of a moot point.

IF I go this way I'm going to fab up a sheet-metal intake for the 4.0...not the easiest thing in the world to do but it's probably my only way to go

DOH! I never thought to look. I figured they were the same, because of the block. That's the best part about Ford ... Great parts interchangability!
