Default Is the ZL1 lid required??? 2003 1500HD

Well, was almost ready to pull the trigger on a LSA blower swap kit and was told a 2003 1500HD would need a ZL1 lid, and that the cts-v lid would not work. Thought Id seen a few pics of the cts-v lid in use on the nbs trucks?

If you used the CTS-V lid you'd have to make the water lines work in a tight space.

They are also much harder to find and sometimes are the early units the heat exchanger leaks and without sensors. A new ZL1 lid comes with everything you need to bolt it on.

Okay gotcha. Thought id seen some in use, but does sound like zl1 lid would be obviously a better choice. Not a big deal, i am just on the fence whether or not to take the turbo or lsa plunge, or just do some motor stuff for now. The struggle is real! Thanks
