like said before boost is a measure of restriction. the stock cam was restricting your air flow, with the new cam you are flowing more air through the motor. you are making more power with less boost. your wastegate mkaes the turbo move a set amount of air. you are flowing the same amount of air but under less pressure

How does it do this????

Sorry, not wanting to sir up any chit..

The waste gate is operated with pressure. Pressure is applied against a diaghram and a spring.

Yes the engine is using more air, and yes, psi or boost is a measurement of restriction. However the waste gate should remain closed until the spring is overcome with pressure... The turbo should "try" and compensate for the additional air required to open the waste gate.

Let me try to splain this another way.......

A seven pound spring is a seven pound spring.......

Seven pound, meaning, seven pound over atmospheric...

Is your waste gate referencing from the intake manifold or the turbo Snell?

what if the turbo is running out of breath? its way back there and its a small turbo. that to me would be the only way it wouldn't make up the boost.

I thought about that but it is doing it on low boost too which is only 5.5psi.
