Default Would setting up twins like this change the performance in any way?

I was thinking both turbos into a intercooler and into the tb. Plain and simple. But then I stumbled across this pic of a Hennessy twin turbo Escalade. Looks to be like almost a compound setup. The Passenger side turbo is boosting into the driver side turbo and then into an intercooler and into the engine. Would running them this way change or better performance? I would think it would be the same thing but thought I would ask. Hennessy is def making some good power with them like this so don't think its hurting anything performance wise.

It really depends what you are going for...that is a sequential twin setup. What happens is you basically multiply the pressure ratios from each turbo to end up with the final engine pressure. It is much more common on diesels that run 40+ psi all day than on gas engines because a single turbo (or a twin parallel) setup will be fine at whatever pressure ratio you want on a gas engine.

A setup like this can be tweaked A LOT by playing with the wastegates of each turbo and by the size of turbo...typically you have a larger turbo feeding a smaller one, but this looks like two of the same size meaning you can have a lot of pressure, but somewhat limited mass flow...

That's true didn't notice that lol. Bet that pipe just runs across just to put the driver side filter over there. Damn I feel kinda dumb now haha

My response still applies to sequential setups
