Default Worth while or courting disaster

What do you think about me adding a 25 wet shot of n2o to my setup? Only for track use, of course.

How much difference in the 1/4 mile would it make?
I would do this with the addition of some Katech rod bolts (I'm caving into peer influence here).
I'm looking at around 1K for parts/intall, or should I just save my money for the forged LS1.
Ls1 build will be forged internals, 10:1 CR boosted to 10lbs with a 100 shot. I'm tempted to do this first, at least I'll have most of the parts I need when I do the build.

Install of the rod bolts will require either removal of the front diff or engine so I would put that money towards the LS1, its just not cost effective when you are going to upgrade to a different motor later. Why not do the install yourself? Its not hard and there are plenty of guys here to help walk you through it. Hell Im doing a front diff swap in a month or so and I could take plenty of pics for you. Install of the motor and all Im sure has to be expensive.

I dont have a shop, garage or even 3 walls to keep my truck in, it really sucks living in a suburban/city sometimes Hell, they stole my bicycle and I had it chained to the floor!

Can't i get to the pan without removing the front diff?

You sure can! All you gotta do is pull the motor out

Ive been thinking of doing the same thing (25-50 shot) but I dont have the money for itright know. I will be keeping an eye on this thread. It should get me well into an 11 sec run

Everything I read about N2O and s/c said that because of the cooling effect, you can take a small shot and it will feel like twice that. So your 25 shot should feel about like a 50 shot on a N/A truck. I was planning on taking that route eventually when I still had the Radix on my 6.0, but obviously plans changed....I say do it.
