I found a guy willing to sell me a D-1SC for $250. He sucked something through it, messing up the impeller. Called ProCharger today, and all they would tell me is that they had an $85 analysis fee for tearing it down, and that they wouldn't be able to give me an estimate until then. They did tell me that a new impeller would cost around $900. Any ideas on what bearings and seals will cost, along with labor? I figure that will put me around $1200, and if I can get everything else done and keep it around $1500 and have a rebuilt blower I will be in good shape. Any thoughts???

They are going to hit you for atleast a grand.. But if you can part it together for under 2k you got a winner... Is that with the brackets for the unit also??? Pass the deal on to me

I'm thinking it will be worth the extra $500-$1000 to get a rebuilt D-1 over over a used working P-1 now though...

No brackets or pulley... I already have the brackets and hardware for my truck; it's for a P1, but their both the same as far as mounting from what I can see. I hadn't planned on going with a D1 until I found this deal; also hadn't planned on spending 2k on a blower. I was intending on spending closer to 1k on a P1, going the cheaper route.

Well after some research I have concluded that procharger breaks it off in the a$$es of each person that sends in a unit for a rebuild. First off, the bearings used on the high-speed side of the blowers appear to be rated at I believe 51K, yet ProCharger rates their blowers at 62K. They told me it would cost around $900 for a D-1 impeller, yet you can buy quality used ones online for $295( http://www.superchargerrebuild.com/?page_id=53 ). Also, note that all used impellers are the same price, P600B or D-1SC.
Procharger uses a custom seal for the back shaft that you cannot seem to buy or find from seal mfgr's. You have to have them custom made, which is what superchargerrebuild.com must do to complete their kits. My question is, has anyone purchased a seal/bearing rebuild kit from this website, and if so what did you think of the quality?
They will completely rebuild your blower for $550, replacing all bearings as well as seals. The parts are sold for $350, if you wanted to do it yourself. The $200 labor fee for a complete rebuild sounds a little more reasonable to me than the alternative... considering ProCharger wants $85 just to look at it. They are ridiculous....
