Default Is it worth putting on a turbo

Just wondering if my 4.8 is worth putting a turbo on this heavy truck? It is 270hp to the wheels with the heavy *** 22's on it. I wanna change that and do a cam and stall and tranny. But not if I can't get into the 12's with the 4.8 and some boost. Just wondering what yall think.

If i were you, i would get the 6.0 first, and then FI. If you were still looking into getting the 6.0. But, it would be fun to put it on the 4.8 also. I think there's several guys w/ 4.8's in the 12's. KB being the one i know off the top of my head. Maybe they'll chime in.

If you go 6.0l and turbo you WILL need a trans with it, not next but with it.
Start saving your money for the never ending vortex money sucking experiment you are about to embark on.
Just stating the facts.

kbracing's EC 4.8 was well into the 12's with I think a 106mph trap speed. My EC 4.8 had enough mph (104) to get into the 12's but we all know how that goes. So yes, it can be done, but FI is not cheap.

I know its not cheap, I'm not scared to put money into fun. God my quad is proof of that. Well I think in the 12's with the 4.8 is a good goal to start with.

Yep kbracing was running 15lbs to get those times, the only thing that held him back was his heads were lifting, but that can be fixed

You can get in the 12s with a turbo. Worthwhile mod IMO.
