Default worth it to pulley down .1"

With the truck in my sig is it even worth it to go down .1"? If that gains me 1psi that is what 15 rwhp?

I don't want to go below the 3.0 pulley because i've heard the manifold intercooler really has issues removing all that heat as it is, let alone below a 3.0 pulley. This is my DD that will maybe see the track a couple weekends a year so I don't want to have to bother with meth.

I've also gathered that adding a second heat exchanger or a bigger one doesn't really lower iats much, it just allows them to return to normal quicker after a run... does that sound about right?

Does pulleying down effect when the bypass closes?

I should be safely into the 13's I hope with the below setup. not that 1psi will gain me much, right?

03 Pewter Denali
In process: Radix with 3.1" pulley, ls6 springs, gt2-3, 90mm Dr X harness, FLT 4l65 lvl5, 05 efans, elite engineering catch can, Stainless works full exhaust( longtubes, highflow cats, dual exhaust)
Yes. Pullying down will get you into boost quicker but .1 isn't going to make much difference. I have the 3" pulley. I still drive in 15-18" mercury vacume for the most part.

I think he larger XR is helping while cruising and yes definately cools off faster. DOIT. I do use meth, but not for it's cooling capabilities, it's a good system and not that complicated.

I've seen people replace the stock hx with a ctsv radiator, or double up on stock hx or what ever there is... There is a stock hx in the for sale section for a good price... hmm

I'd mount it right in the lower bumper where denali's have that nice grill, but living up here means that poor hx would have ram salt injection from the roads..

PS you guys suck... The truck only had 20,000 miles on it when I bought it this summer and I had it apart at 24000. I keep adding to the list before I even get the thing done. Part of the beinfit of doing this all yourself is the pride.. the down fall is holy crap does it take a lot of weekends

If you're shooting for a record time I'd do it. Just for a bit more gain I wouldn't.

Your not the only one in this situation. I know exactly what you mean. I have all kinds of go fast goodies in my garage just waiting to be installed. I just don't have the time like I used too to work on my ride. This site does suck doesn't it?

If i pulley down to that 2.9 and don't go meth or add another hx I'm gonna raise iat's too much to make any real benefit right?
