Simple answer is it depends on your motor. Faily stock heads/motor then china will be fine. If you have good heads or a buildup bottom end then don't risk it. China studs have a great purpose for junk yard turbo builds. Keep in mind one thing..... Stock48 has built or been involved in building more turbo motor builds than 99.9% of guys. Including every guy in this thread telling you not to.

I don't really see a big difference ARP is 200,000 psi tensile strength and china's are 190,000..

stock heads (317's) rebuilt & CNC'd, 3-12 cam, 05+ LQ4 pistons and rods blocks been freshened up new rings, bearing and so on

its not a junk yard built still far from a high end build though its the best my budget could get me.......and it was tough to pull off at that I Bought the truck in October and started to mod like I mad man wheels, bed cover, navigation/system, some maintenance + engine build so funds are super tight the extra $$$ for ARP will delay this "if i go that route

I run KMJ studs. They have been 10lbs more than a few dozen times with no issues so far. I also have friends on 18+ PSI and over 700RWHP with no issues.

For what it is worth, I have seen ARPs lift, stretch, strip, crack and snap too. Anything can happen. If you want complete honesty the ARPs have a much higher quality thread cut, but I have had seen no issues with KMJ regardless.
