okay i have a 07 silverado. where to i wire up the switched powersources to the gauge and cable?

 

Are you replacing one of the O2's or just using it for a AFR gauge?

 

Your best bet it to get a test light from Sears or Harbor freight or whatever. I found my keyed source under the dash off the drivers side fuse panel.

 

i welded an extra bung behind the drivers o2 sensor

 

What kind of guage are you using? Wide band? Digital?

 

Ditto when I added my LC1. I added a pigtail to the switched fuse and used it for me LC1 + gauge power and for my Aeroforce Interceptor scan gauge.

im using a digital gauge that came with the kit the instructions said the guage has to be on a ignition witched power source and the o2 sensor has to be on a switched power source?

 

Here is a link to the littlefuse "add a fuse". It makes life easy. You can hook up the LC-1 and the XD-16 to the same fuse. The LC-1 needs 5 amps and the digital gauge needs 2 amps. A 7.5 amp fuse would do nicely.

The red wire from both units should go to the fused power switched from the ignition. You can piggyback any of the fuses in the panel that are switched.

They like to keep the heater ground (blue), grounded separate from the system or signal ground (white) to keep the electronic noise to a minimum.
