Default Who's running turbo and maf

I am attempting my first build. Who's running a maf and a blow off valve to atmosphere?
Where did you locate maf and bov?

Thinking ls7 card style maf. Located after turbo and bov before maf. Would this be a good way to run. Low pressure under 10lb's

it's very common to have Turbo and MAF, usually it would be as you stated, Turbo -> Intercooler -> BOV -> MAF -> Throttle Body

With the BOV before the MAF you don't have any issues, never want the BOV after the MAF.

I think mostly everyone under 700 hp is running a maf. I ran a maf to almost 800rwhp with any issues. I do not have experience with the new card style/LS7 maf setups. Interested to learn about them in a slightly older truck though. Everyone pretty much vents the BOV to atmosphere but, recirculation valves are available. You would want to do that at least 8"'s away from the MAF....IN FRONT of the maf. Other then that, pretty basic.

I have a ls7 on an 03 truck. I got the adapters on eBay housing and wiring. Tuning was done by black bear. Going to try a Saxon air smoother honeycomb before going f/I as maf will not have as much of a long straight path as it does currently.
Still torn on which kit to use.

Did you notice any better driveability with the new maf?

I've got an order in at Saxon for their honeycomb air straightener. My intake has nice long runs but I get more movement in the idle cells than i'm comfortable with. Hope is to get straightener installed and clock maf for optimum position and finish the maf freq table. I'll let you know in a week or so how it works.

I blew my stock MAF in half at about 8psi, so I went speed density after that haha.

I ran a MAF on a turbo '01 5.3, 8psi. Could never get it to run properly with the maf downstream of the turbo, but once I put it pre turbo it ran perfectly.

I was told I needed to run a recirc pipe from the BOV, but I never did and didn't have any problems. It would go a bit rich (maybe down to 10.5 from 11.4 afr) on decel when the BOV popped but nothing that affected driveability. DFCO was disabled.
