Kb what you think about the standard 475 96x87 1.32 AR vs the 480 83x74 1.10 AR spool up wise and power increase?

SilveradoL33 had a S468 on his stock 5.3. Made 681whp through an 80e, 14sf, and 35s. Went 12.0 @ 110.

It was a T6 flange, I believe 1.10 A/R, and 4" downpipe/exhaust

There was a lot of difference in spool up characteristics of the two with the smaller turbine side on the 80. That made it spool much faster then the 75. As for power, I was never really close to maxing either so it's had to tell a difference there. I'm building my current set of turbo pipes so I can swap between the TC76 I have now and the S480. I've got a T4 1.0 a/r housing on the 80 now, so we'll see how that setup works.

when I asked my local guy who sells BW turbo's he said to go for the 1.32A/R
I dont know if it was a performance thing or the exrtra cost to get it T4'd and the other stuff that makes it less off the shelf

agh i see. if this standard 475 doesnt work out i would love to switch to a 480 then ill be done with it since the 480 is good for around 1300. would you say that make around the same amount of peak power 10-15psi?

well you can get a 1.10 on a t-6 so im not sure why he would say that. if your going turbo on your silverado ss i would definetley go 1.10 s475 or 480 depending on how much power your looking for.

Boost for boost, they be about the same till you really start pushing them. When the 75 get out of efficiency, then the 80 will keep going making more power.

Both me and slowlsx used an S465 with those specs. He said he had good experience with it on his 5.3, but on my 6.0 it choked too soon.
