Phenolic-A plastic molding component formed by the reaction of phenol and formaldehyde. It can be heavily reinforced or "filled" with glass fibers or other materials. Phenolics are known for their high impact strength, excellent wear characteristics, and dimensional stability over a wide temperature range

Sounds interesting, but I am still trying to understand how this would benefit you. ???

Wood isolates heat better. Just do some research on carb spacers and you'll see. I'm not sure how it would do supporting a huffer though.

I have researched this in the past, isn't the problem with the actual gasket of the radix...it's the same as stock so it's more of ring gasket...no clearance for anything else? Fits into a slot. It would have to be one large phenolic spacer with the rings cut on each side for the gaskets...like twice as many gaskets.

I'd like one just for the throttle body alone...great at isolating the heat.
