The TVS units have a lot more support. You can make big power with Whipple, Kenne Bell, etc, but there is a lot more support for the TVS units on our trucks than any other PD blower.

The Whipple can work just fine, but it isn't the best path for big power unless you want to be doing a lot of your own R&D.

I think both manufacturers make an equally quality and reliable unit, the question is which is best for your particular application. For adding some power to a daily driver, I would pick the TVS. For a weekend toy, street/strip truck, I would pick the Whipple. Mainly for the differences in design. Since the twin screw is always compressing air, even when not in boost, it is always a parasitic power robber thus making it not ideal for an efficient daily choice. By this same design, it is more efficient in boost, especially at or above it's internal compression ratio. The advantage of the TVS (modified roots) is that when not in boost and the bypass is open, it basically free spins the rotors causing much less of a parasitic drain and also doesn't heat the bypassed air charge near as much as a twin since it is not internally compressed. My $0.02.

All of the kits will make good power, do some reading on people's experiences and reviews and you will be better educated to make your choice. If you do a search for TVS, Whipple or any of the others you will find allot of reading concerning others experiences. Personally I feel that Whipples customer support is lacking, I do like there product though. As you can see from my signature I have a TVS so you know my choice. This is not my first supercharger either.

I really like the benefits of the twin-screw design; the only problem is the lack of support from the twin-screw manufacturers (Whipple, Lysholm, Kenne Bell, in order of support for our vehicles). The Eaton TVS blowers have a great deal of R&D and support for our applications, making things much easier when utilizing these superchargers vs their twin-screw competition.

Yep. I used to have a kenne bell. I like my TVS and I am happy with my choice. Next setup will be a turbo to try something different and I'll keep the TVS on my current truck.

Look into Kenne Bell more before you do anything, you'll be selling yourself short.

Kenne Bell

My brother's SSS had one, he never had any issues with their support. His was even very customized for his application

Kenne Bell support for GM trucks is basically non existent. I never had any issues with mine but there support was another story. My Kenne Bell was very customized also as I had a air to air intercooler.

If there was better availability of parts and support for twin-screws in GM applications, they would be my choice in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, that just isn't the case.
