Intercooler
I had a 2004 Avalanche that was boosted and I had a custom built radiator/intercooler setup. The radiator was built by the company that builds all of the Be Cool radiators and has the internal tranny cooler in it and the intercooler was out of a duramax diesel. When they built me the radiator they chopped down the intercooler a couple of inches in height so it would fit. The duramax trucks had a taller core support. I then bought two electric fans and built a shroud for them to keep everything cool. It worked great. Unfortunately I had other issues and sold the truck, BUT I kept the radiator and intercooler setup and would consider selling it.

Atomic I am pretty sure he runs pins. It looks like he posted a link that was removed though. Maybe he will chime back in.

Read this thread:
https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...c-bolt-477769/ I'll put it this way. My 4" intercooler is a lot better than his 3", yet not quite as good as his custom 4"(not expected to be). I'd make a 4" work if I were you. Especially since there's hardly a price difference when you're dealing with ebay ic's. I picked mine up for $150 shipped. |
I'll say this much, driving around with only 3 or 4 lbs I see zero rise in air temps...
