Not sure what the fuel rails are like on the 8.1s but if it's anything like the LSx fuel rails, you might be able to have the fitting brazed back on to the fuel rail by a radiator shop or something. Would be alot cheaper, just a thought. Can't wait to see the new iat's...

A closer look at the reservoir.

Sorry for some of the PICs being blurry. I test fitted the intercooler on the manifold and it looks like it will be good. Tomorow i will get the core mounted as well as the heat xchanger and plumb everything up. The pump was 22.5l/hr @15kPa, does that sound right?

22.5 L hr. = ? 5.94 gallons a min. Not sure if thats a lot or not.
Your welcome.

I thought about that too, but i said the heck with it. I got the rail wholesale so i saved a few bucks. Thats definately what it was though, stupid thing cracked right at the joint. I broke it the rest off the way off trying to remove the FSU line. I got everything off and now im just waiting on the rail to come in, hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday. I left the rail on for now so i dont have any junk fall in there, buts it ready to just pull up off the manifold.

Here is the actual pump specs from the label.

http://www.pasadenatownhall.com/inte...pump_specs.jpg

I cant tell if that is 22.5 l/min or 22,5 l/min or what that says. Cant tell if thats a comma or a decimal point between the 22 and 5.

EDIT
Found the specs online, its 22.5 l/min or about 6 gallons per minute. Is that a lot? Seriously, i dont know much about pump flow and what is considered a lot.

6 gpm is pretty good flow. Your kitchen faucet wide open should be about 2 gpm.

Okay, so is that good or bad? I mean if its flowing that fast, wouldnt the water be in the heat xchanger less time to cool off?

If your heat exchanger tubing is larger than the intercooler tubing then the water will be flowing slower through the heat exchanger. You can set up a bypass to control the rate of flow if you think its too much. Loop the outlet of the pump back into the inlet with a valve that will allow you to throttle the amount of bypass.

Why not just try it like it is before modifying it?
