I have a 4.8 RCSB 04 Silverado, z06 cam, p&p heads, my question is how much boost can my stock bottom end handle, truck has 62xxx miles.... thank you

 

12 easily.... people have ben 19psi with good tune such as AFR and timing and also some meth. i suggest you run ARP stud's on your motor!

 

do you know around what size pulley that is

 

hmm every blower is different.... ur supercharger might not evan go up to that much boost... you said how much boost, not how much boost on a supercharger .... your gonna need to go turbo to alot of boost

 

4" pulley on my 4.8 equals 7 pounds. I do not recommend much more than that with a while unless you intercool it or put a meth kit on.
IATs are way HIGH!

 

IAT's ???? sorry new at this.... I am planning on intercooling, how much do u recommend with the intercooler

 

IAT's equals Intake Air Temperature.... the more boost you run, the hotter the air is that goes into the intake. when you put an intercooler it drops the IAT's significantly

 

I have had the whipple before. It was a pretty good charger but it is not intercooled. A intercooler cools the air down that goes threw the blower into your motor. Using a intercooler you could run say 10psi as wear without a intercooler 7 psi. You can also buy a brand new intercooled magnacharger 112 for $4250! Thats what i have switched to over the whipple. I think it looks way beter/factory and just outperforms the non intercooled whipple. Just talk to brain@Magnacharger and he will hook you up! Know is Whipple is coming out with a intercooled kit but it is going to be around $6K and a couple months down the road....

 

My 4.8l had 150,000 miles and was easily taking 11 lbs making 400 hp...
