Would it make a big difference if it was a turbo over a blower?

It would work with a turbo also, naturally each type of power adder can benefit from a cam setup for the combo. But it would work fine. With a turbo if you have a small turbine they start getting pickier about cam choice due to back pressure.

Something is wrong, you should see much more than 6-7 psi. At a min, I would think 10.

Are you measuring the boost with an external gauge or from your map sensor?

Im at 500hp at 6100. 580ft lbs. At 3900 Tuner has 4 degrees pulled because I tow a heavy camper sometimes. Not because it was knocking. Said it had probably 50 to 60 more horse in it. I did adjust bypass valve and its a steady 7 lbs now. Boost is off intake and its mechanical

I would confirm with MAP sensor readings and also check to ensure there is no belt slip.

What does your mechanical boost gauge read at idle?

You should be getting your reading from the lower tub.

There is an NPT fitting on each side of the lower tub that has a plug in it. Use that instead.
