Well the Whipple finally went on and got tuned last night, the only bad thing is that I dont have a boost gauge and my tuner only thinks its making 3-4 pounds. It runs better but its not as powerful as I thought it would be, especially if it was making 7.5 like its suppose to.

The tuner thinks its making that? I'd say get a few gauges on there so you can see what that things doing. Who tuned yours? George at Boost Performance did mine, and i love it.

I ran a whipple on my stock 5.3 Z71 Tahoe for a while. No other mods except the tune. Low end torque was greatly increased, as was throttle response. Upper end power was not much improved however. I was a little disappointed in the power output of the whipple after having a Radix on my truck. It made a nice addition to a heavy vehicle though, especially a daily driver in traffic. The part throttle / low end torque is nice.

My tahoe is a flex-fuel vehicle, so it came with like 36# injectors. I just used them without any whipple electronics.

If yours came with 19 pounders, I would definitely go larger and skip the whipple electronics in favor of a custom tune.

Yeah, you'll have better results with the radix. I've had two whipples in the past and the results were basically the same. A used whipple is usually cheaper than a radix, so its got that going for it. I'm sure with meth to cool down the IATs on the whipple, its upper rpm power would be much improved.

I dyno'd my 99 silverado with whipple years ago. I'll see if I can dig up the chart. LS1 Tuning software was was very new at the time, so better results could be had today. Anyway, the whipple showed a gain of 75 ftlbs of torque and about 10 rwhp over the N/A dyno I had done about 6 weeks prior.

so the whipple only gave u 10 horses more aren't they supposed to give u 50% more power than what u have that is wierd so in other words get the radix i just want some low end tourqe so it wont have any trouble getting up and hopefully help with the gas milage right now it averages 8-12 miles per gallon driving like it is not my truck but planning in getting a big trailer to haul 2 trucks to the lsx truck shoot out so i need every help it can

No offense but something was seriously wrong with your setup.
When I installed my whipple Output jumped up about 130 rwhp and that is on the conservative side. With no intercooler, meth, and through cats it put down 432 rwhp. That is also with a 4.8l.Now don't get me wrong radix is a great bolt on and go kit.It is also a lot more exspenive especially when you try to buy a used one compared to a whipple.Believe me when I say whipple left a lot on the table with there kit.
