I run Amsoil Series 2000 0W30 and an Amsoil EAO64 filter. I change it once a year (8500 miles last year) and have it analyzed to be sure it is standing up and my engine is not developing any problems.

Synthetic oil will have more resistance to heat before breaking down. Most name brand Synthetics should be good, Amsoil, Mobile1 ect.

alot of the FI guys prefer Redline oil because it tends to have an added film strength to it and protect bearings quite well.
