Personally I'd upgrade the TC and tranny before worrying about the gears (if you haven't already). Take a look at the PI turbo TC -- awesome lil thing IMO (just a different style stator from what i understand to allow you to build boost easier).

I kinda like the 4.10s I have on this heavyweight.
