Default What do you think of this turbo?

I have no idea of what is a good turbo and what is a crap turbo. What do you think of this one? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Garre...34669203QQrdZ1 Any chance that it would fit on an STS kit? If so, would a 370 be enough to spool it? I will have a PI 3200 with the new trans. Its not all that expensive. Are there better units for around this price?

Dude, that thing is HUGE. Good luck spooling it. I would go with a Master power T70 if I where you. You can find them for a about $650 and will make good power on a 6L.

What about a GTS 76? Parish said that it is in between the 76mm he had and the 88 he had. Would that be a better compromise? Is power master a good turbo? Ive really only heard of Garret, Precision Turbo, and Innovative (they make the GTS 76 I believe) Are there any links that tell you about different turbos and what are the latest and greatest and what are junk?

you could try the gts76 with the sts but i think if you really want to make big power like the gts76 can make a front mount kit would be the way to go. thats a prety big turbo to be puting in the back.

Master Power's are made in Brazil and are pretty good from what I here, I have one siting on the shelf waiting to go on a '69 Camaro with a SB 406 this summer and it looks top notch. Lots of guys on turbomustang.com running them. There supposed to be good for about 650ish HP. I think it would make a good rear mount unit. I believe there is a couple LS1 guys running them also.

BTW, what are your goals for this combo?

I eventually would like to get very near 700rwhp. Im going to see what the STS does and I guess if it cant get me there, I will end up going with a front mount kit. Im curious how close the GT67 will come. I would think 650rwhp would be very possible from this combo. Im going with a stock bottom end 6.0 for now while I get everything together. Im going with a 370 once its together and I get all the supporting stuff out of the way.
