SilveradoL33s truck didnt really have any lag with the converter and turbo setup.
Proper turbo sizing is crucial but even the TT porsches I have been in have lag. Its pretty much the nature of the beast especially when comparing power delivery to a twin screw blower.

Well I know this is going to be a long drawn out process, and done step by step to lead to FI, but I would really like to get an idea of what im gonig to be getting into. And It seems like the blower would be a good idea with the fact of instant torque, since i am running 35s and soon to regear, it's just figuring out the right steps to lead into FI. I'd love to have around 400hp to the wheel. And beat little hondas that think they are the ****. But then again I'm ALWAYS on the highway, so that's the main factor. It's rarely ever taken off road.
