Default what to do?

okay guys, i know that this has been beat to death already but i'm tired of looking for threads pertaining to what i'm wanting to do. i have an 04 ccsb 2500hd, 4wd with 6.0. should have bought a duramax but didnt i want to put a power adder but not sure what the best one would be. whipple, magnacharger? i tow a lot so trying to figure out the best way to go without spending 60 grand on a truck that i will forever hate the style of.(no offense you new style owners). i'm not wanting to start another 45 page war just wanting a few honest answers. thanks guys.

Superchargers put out more instant torque then tubos usually do even when everything is as equal as possable. But either solution is only going to help if they are boosting so I would start with the basic exhaust and gears for your truck as they both transfer to the new forced induction set up.

When I towed alot with my 77 OBS with a 350 I geared it to turn 2500 rpm at the speed I plan to tow. That way I had plenty of torque on tap, and I would probily do the same with your truck.

I would start with gears before I go with a turbo or supercharger becouse you need the rpm right to get the torque out.

i planned on gearing it as well just to offset the godforsaken 20" wheels that are on it. that was a mistake putting those on!

say screw it sell it and buy the duramax you should have in the first place. cause you will never get the fuel economy outta the 6.0L that you will outta the Dmax

i would love to! only problem is they are so damn ugly! i can't find a 03-07 that i like that hasn't had stacked chips and been run like a sports car its whole life. and yeah i know that trying to make a gas pull descent and fuel economy is never going to happen but hell its only getting 10 mpg right now as it is so i dont care.

Just get the gears then see where you wanna go.

Gears are under a $1800 installed with a new posi's plus it might actually improve fuel economy.

What gears do you have now and what size tire are you running?
