I need to do the DOD delete to my avalanche now. So might aswell get the cam I am gonna need.
i plan to put a positive displacement blower on it eventually so want a good cam for that.
the thing is 1 don’t want to do a higher stall converter. i am keeping the stock one in there. I was gonna do the truck Norris cam before I decided to do the blower so now I’m back to square 1.
Many input is appreciated thx

My opinion is that if you think that cam would require a looser converter, it might be great for a PD blower. With a stock converter, slightly softer low rpm power might help keep your tires from lighting up off the line. In the same situation with a higher stall converter, you might have to do a lot of pedal work to keep the tires from spinning on launch.
If you are RWD. If you are AWD, this might not apply at all.

I’m running a 214/222 .578 lift on a 114+4 from Cam Motion that PatG spec’d for me. This is in a RCSB Z71 with stock converter and PD blower. It works very well with the stock converter. According to my Dragy, I’m running 7.4 in the eighth with 1.7 60ft times on regular street tires. Only slightly noticeable idle.

Any of the stage 1 or stage 2 camshaft from whomever like BTR or Texas speed, they should all be around that 212/218 size or smaller. Those all work with stock converter and will always work with boost.
