I'm starting round 3 of dumping money into my P.O.S. Decided to turbo it. Just bought a precision 76/75 cea with the ported housing and .96 a/r. I was going to get the ball bearing version. Guy at forced inductions said it was a waste of money. So I listened to him and decided $900 could go to the trans/fuel/meth inj/etc.
What do y'all think? This is going on the Silverado in my sig. 6.0, afr 225s, 230/236- .581/.581 cam, going to swap in an 80e, with 3.73s. Its a street truck. Hasn't seen the track yet. Maybe I'd put in a few passes to see what speed it traps at.

FWIW 90% of the aftermarket turbos on diesels are journal bearing. The only guys that I see run ball bearing turbos are in full on race/pulling applications. I ran a ball bearing turbo in my old gasser, but if I had it to do over again I'd save the $$ and do a journal bearing.
