I know what your getting at lol.....I will look into an isky cam!

That's one of my options. a free LS6 cam is another option but if im putting a cam in, I want it to sound like theres a cam in there.

Been there my friend. Roasted #5 in my old turbo blazer.

Way too much timming and boost for 91 octane. Switch to e85 and never look back if you can.

i agree with venting the steam vents on the back of the heads. when coolant boils it cant cool anymore and if they are blocked it has no where to go. vent it off and coolant can keep doing its job.

91 with that timing and leanish mixture probably didn't help.

right now I basically have everything disconnected from the engine, except for the motor mount bolts.

im quite possibly moving this week and the main reason I wanna move is the acreage im moving to has a cement floor garage that you could easily fit 3 cars in! heated as well!

so I have an engine stand, hoist, and I still need a bore gauge and a different hone.

but im gonna take the engine out and hone the cylinder and see how it turns out. if its within specs ill just slap in a new piston.

if I can afford it ill remove dod and vvt delete and cam it too.

oh and run 94 octane and meth!

a melted hole is probably from pre ignition rather than detonation. I would say that from the iridium plugs. When you get it back together, vent all steam vents and run br7ef plugs
