Here's a few more pics... last one is the 4L80E I just picked up today Still have a few things to wrap up including moving the MAF because it just isn't gonna get the straight air it needs right there. But its pretty much done...

Your set-up is a thing of beauty, very well thought out placement of every component. Wish mine looked like this.
Where is the oil line on top of the turbo coming from? That is your supply correct?

Thanks guys... much appreciated!

Tim, yes that is the feed line. It is an off the shelf Earl's part from Summit... 6ft braided teflon 3AN female on both sides. If you look back in the thread you will see a pic I took where I get the oil supply from... right off the oil filter.

Need to fix the big A/C hose and figure how I'm going to tie in the LS6 valley cover, passenger valve cover to the catch can effectively. Still debating if I want to vent to atmosphere. Once I move the MAF my tuner will finish his work and then I'll dyno it. Also need to purchase an oil cooler and figure where that is gonna go. After that I'll work on gathering parts for the 4L80E swap.

Thanks

4L60E (about 12k miles) with Transgo HD2 shift kit and Sonnax 2-4 servo's. Also, ditched the stock plastic accumulator pistons for aluminum replacements. Vince at FLT hooked me up on everything including an FLT drilled plate. Trans also has a $250 Mag-Hytec cast alumunin deep pan... which can be seen in pics in this thread. Currently trans is in perfect running condition and I am not beating on it... per say... no drag racing or anything like that. Yes, it will be For Sale soon. Buddy of mine is gonna hook me up on a complete 4L80E installation kit including driveshaft and possibly a 3-disk billet convertor in a stall of my choice ... sooner than I thought. Thank god I still have a little wiggle room on the plastic

so its just like mine is now still works, but im nervous....its never slipped or anything. just a fully built one would be nice!

that 4l80 should be alot nicer though, no worries about breaking anything...just a little worse on the gearing.

The gearing aspect of the 4L80E can be dealt with depending on how deep your pocket is. Also, a rear diff gear change might assist in dealing with a 4L80E upgrade. I have 3.73's. We'll see how it works out
