water pump pulley crooked

Default water pump pulley crooked

my belt fell off yesterday and wen i took a look under the hood the wp pulley was like an inch out and wen i spin it with my hand it was real crooked , dose anyone know the cause ?

Well to tight a belt...and could just be old, that is the weak spot IMO, you can change everything to heavy duty and to cog or 10-12 rib...the waterpump pulley cant be changed

ima try another wp, i don't wanna get a looser belt cuz they tend to come out during rev limites

In a blown, or high horsepower application, you need to weld the water pump pulley directly to the shaft.

looking directly at the pump (where the shaft comes through the pulley) drill some indentadions with a 1/4" drill bit at the seam of the pulley and shaft. Fill the spots with weld, and you wont have any more problems, quick and easy fix.
