So there is:

Alky Control about $500 (Most guys on here have one and have no Complaints)

Snow Performance (Found it at Jegs for $241) (But have read on several occasions that the pumps are not good)

Devils Own $305 (first time to ever hear of them, so there is the price)

Cooling Mist $250 (never heard of either)

Im sure there are some more...

Just doin some lookin at different kits and prices..

I know Alky Control has everything done right with SS Braided lines and such..


Just wanted to throw what i have found out there...

Now im lookin for a larger tank so i can put it in my tool box.

 

I'm runnin the Devils Own kit. Been flawless for the 1 1/2+ years it's been on the truck. I'm using the stock WW tank and running strait -20* WW fluid and haven't had ANY problems (gota be close to 30 gallon throw it by now). It has the smallest controller for a progressive unit of any of the kits I've seen. Simple too, one **** sets the start on psi and the other set the full on psi.

 

How often do you have to refill the WW tank?

 

I think alittle goes along way with meth, I will let you know how long mine lasts when i hook it up.

I figure for a DD it should last quite some time if driven right...

If i just ease around driving it to save gas i hardly ever even get close to boost..
But on the interstate with the cruise on 75 i usually hit 2lbs on a few hills... but thats only for a few seconds..


How much does the WW fluid tank hold? 1.5 gallons?

 

It last about 2 weeks or so, just depends on how much I boost it. I have a M10 nozzel (10 gallon/hr). The stock WW tank holds about 5 quarts and the light comes on when there is about a pint left. I have it set to start to come on at 4 psi and full on at 9 psi. Works out great for me.

 

Why do you have it comin on at 4psi? why not lower?

just wondering... i dont have a clue bout this stuff..

 

Im setting mine to come on at 6 psi. I think its just a waste starting it out much lower for me.

there is also one from MPE- mease has a bad name in some car sites- but his brother builds the meth kits- i dont know if they ever got into producing them

Cuz I don't really need it lower then that and it saves on WW fluid. I get into low boost conditions ALL the time with as much of a boost baby as this little 4.8 is and would go though a lot more of it was set lower. Meth is really for combating higher IAT and adding octane to suppress KR with high boost.
