Default water/meth/alky injection on an NA engine

I was talking with Gamedawg about meth inj and he put this damn thought in my head about it and now I want one. Sitting at the track my iats climb to 100+ degrees from this damn AEM intake tube its metal (but I could use this to my advantage because it cools quickly) and the 1/8 just isnt enough for the temps to cool. Sooo

Ive been thinking I want to get a injection kit and Im gonna use the windshield washer resivior as the tank. Im assuming you want the injection as far away from the intake as possible so as to get the most cooling effect.

How should I have it actuated, I was thinking of just a toggle or window switch. I think it would be cool to have a little red toggle switch in the cab it could cool off that intake real quick while waiting on my turn or maybe just rig up a contact switch under the gas pedal thinking out loud here

Also what sort of alcohol is safe to use, where can I get methanol?

In the long run I can see this being alot cheaper and easier than 110.

What sort of gains could I expect?

Or should I just say screw it and look at No2?
this is a high compression setup.

http://members.***.net/stevemonroe/AlcoholInjMod.html

this is what I was telling you about
looks pretty interesting

I dont think the gains would be as dramatic as they would be on a FI setup
but it would
be interesting to see on a NA setup

looks like hes using some sort of vacume switch
to turn it on/off

You'd probably get a lot closer to ambient IAT's with the meth kit, but you'd get more on the spray, IMO and more power.

Meth would let you crank your timing up some and give you cooler IATs, but the n2o would give you cooler IAT's and more oxygen in the cylinder, which would outweigh the extra timing easily, IMO.

Usually most people don't recomend it because the meth takes up room in the chamber that should be filled with air. So while your IATs may be lower you are taking in less oxygen so it becomes a wash. At least that has been the theory.

I have problems currently running the timing that I want to run on 93 octane gas and I know there is more power to be had with the extra timing at part throttle and wot

Why do that.... Just get nitrous... Im sure youll get way more HP and it will cool just as well......

very true
a nitrous setup is triple the price to install and more to refill the bottle, tends to damage things and cant be used on an everyday basis ie going wot several time s a day. I was looking at this as a way to boost octane and cool temps cheaply and conservatively
