On my old car i had the wastegate dumping out the passenger fender - didn't sound that great. It's less backpressure for the exhaust but i wouldn't do it again.

Back to the inlet side of the turbo.

So between the Airfilter and turbo? Would that cause problems or does it help keep the turbo spooled?

That's probably a little high for 9 psi without methanol.

it is usualy easier to vent the wg to atmosphere. how loud it seems kinda depends on how loud the rest of your exhaust is. to me it is like open headers once the wg opens but that is only when you floor it and after the boost level is reached. it wont be loud unless you floor it. i am prety sure you would gain power. maybe just a hp or two but maybe a lot more. it is like puting on a bigger down pipe. i can tell you the first time i floored my truck with twins and open wg's i was next to a concrete wall and it scared me with how loud it was but after the first time i expected it and it didn't seem so loud.

eventualy i got tired of the sound and ran a seperate exhaust set up just for my wg's. i did like it a lot better quiet.
