Wastegate Spring Problem?

So last night I installed a 14lb spring and Blackbear was tuning it this morning. When we made the WOT pulls my boost gage was reading 16 and of course I let off the gas.
1st thing: How can I fix this? Get back to 14.
2nd thing: If there isn't a reasonably cost efficient way to fix this... should I get a 3bar sensor? How much do these cost?

Maybe go down a spring size?
Rig up an adjustable control like the STS boost control. I got mine for $50. Good for base spring pressure -15 psi.
Turbosmart makes a good and inexpensive boost control.

When I first became fi I had a 67mm turbo and a 10lb spring but only read 8 then I went to a 76mm and got the full 10. This is my first time to change the spring. The wastegate is a 38mm tial and the "14"lb spring is blue. The wastegate is vented in the atmosphere.

I can't help you with your problem but wanted to say your truck sounds damn good. I was in the white CC Silverado that pulled up there this morning, sorry I didn't get out and say hey but as you know it was damn cold. Man your truck looks great and sounds healthy, hope you get the bugs worked out soon.

I'm highly thinking of installing my other spring and getting a controller.
SRTKLLR I was letting off the gas when it was hitting 16psi so I'm not sure where it would have stopped. Although 16 psi felt awesome, not being dialed in at 10*
