Default Wastegate setup for procharger setups

So I have been hearing rumors of people fitting a waste gate to a centri type charger, Does this work or is it just FUD

Do you mean a blow off valve? They are to keep the supercharger from over spinning when the throttle body closes.

No I was reading on the stang forums of using a Wastegate to control boost. this wway you can run the charger with a smaller pulley and control the boost simual to a turbo set up.
