Wheatley spec'd the turbo. Rick at Trick liked it the first time we talked, then when my kit got done he thought it might be big. I Tried searching and have found nothing- which is making me nervous....

Gen IV truck motor, stock intake/cam/799 heads; 918 springs. Decaps flowing 90+.,
e85+meth, non-intercooled Trick Turbo Stage 5 kit, VS 8375 in cast.
TH400,3800 converter,3.23 gears.

Turbo specs:
75/105 Compressor
83x75 Turbine
1.10AR Housing, divided

Will this thing light anywhere near my stall speed?

Will a new cam be more beneficial than a quick spool valve?

Can you point me to any similar builds?

What’s your stall speed? When did Charlie start spec’ing turbos? Did he maybe suggest it? What’s your current cam? How much HP do you want? What’s your goal. We can’t read minds


vortec350ss is using that same turbo on his 4.8 I believe. Cast 75/83

 

I mean, I would personally throw a turbo cam in it to help regardless.

 

You'll have no issue lighting that turbo on that converter. I can give you feedback soon... mine will be running shortly. I have the same turbo with a T6 flange on a 4.8.
