yes welding them while taken apart will warp the **** out of them. I had to put my manifold in the vise and file the v-band till it was flat.

Use some blue marking compound.
Clamp together and see where the warp is.

What gate is it?

You should be able to tell if they are warped by looking at them put together witout the clamp on.

Vbands should seal pretty well. Which wastegate is it, and is this the inlet or outlet side? Guessing outlet.

No itsthe inlet side. And its a 44mm ago. Waste gate. The guys at the shop had to weld the flange on so I'm guessing its warped. Should I just mark it and attempt to sand it down then? Seems like my best bet to me
