Default Vacuum canister for boost references

Anybody run a can off of the manifold to have a localized spot for things that need boost referenced? I'm going to a l92 intake and it has less ports that's my old one but it has one big hole on top that looks like it would be a good place to tap and run a 1/2" line off of into a canister. My 2bar map sensor doesn't look like it will even work, it's too tall for the hold down strap. I just want a clean install with out an *** load of T fittings everywhere.

Not a good idea using a big canister IMO, too much surface area. A vacuum manifold off ebay would be a much better idea.

You can make your 2bar sensor work with some steady dremel work. Worked for me anyway.

The can I have is pretty small.

Did you take off material from the top of the map or from the bottom of the hold down strap?

The top of the map. Peeled off the sticker, ground slowly, put sticker back on.

That was my first thought for that thing but I wasn't sure how far I could go.

I think I might still have my old one if you would rather buy it instead of cutting yours up...
