I don't know what size it is. I just slid vacuum hose directly over it and it's extremely snug - not going anywhere. The nylon hose that comes with the gauge is garbage, you'll want to upgrade to a rubber hose.

 

Welp I got it in and it looks sweet, minus the ruined clear lens, I'll have to get a new one. The thread is 1/8 NPT. Yes the nylon hose is ****, kink it once and it will kink in the same spot over and over again. I still used it but will go with some better vac line next. I'll post up some pics when I take it apart to fix the lens. I thought about doing LED's too but don't like the idea of not being able to dim them. I light the gauges pretty dim at night.

 

I've read that some LEDs are dimmable but none of mine dim. But that's fine with me, I've honestly never dimmed my interior lights. The shitty factory lights are already dim enough IMO.

UPDATE:

Got this stuff fixed up, and then found out that the twist lock bases from SuperbrightLEDs aren't compatible with the stock board! They're poor quality too. It's hard to reuse the factory bases becuase I think the bulbs are glued or soldered in.

Be badass if you could get a needle to match for the boost gauge

 

I like the boost needle orange/red IMO. Gives it a lil contrast. The blue needles and LEDs are too match my Alpine deck BTW. I'm really upset about those bases though.

 

I love the work you put into it, but I got my factory trans temp gauge there LOL

P.S for those who are trying to warm up glue on headlights/tailights/cluster lens, you can use a standard hair drier to help you out some. It will take longer but less likely to melt anything you shouldn't...just in case you are like me and have ADHD.

If not, you can try and cut the glue with an exacto-knife or razor blade to pry it apart slowly while working your way around the entire lens.

 

Thanks for saving me some money from that website. I will just have to warm up my stock sockets and pull out the bulbs very carefully. I got a bunch of LED bulbs from Ebay and want to upgrade my 02 cluster.
