I agree that the 122 has alot more room to grow. My point was just that if you were looking to upgrade you'd likely be quicker with the 122 even at the same boost level.

this is the same question i've been asking myself lately....this is MY OPINION on the subject. I've been able to make the 112 feed my 6.0 with long tubes and full exhaust now for awhile and make some good et's out of it. i'll never know what kind of hp i made but i feel it was close to the 475-500 mark at the wheels. regardless of where i get those numbers, this is MY OPINION here. anyways, i agree with some that say the 112 is too small for the 6.0, HOWEVER i feel it is not CRAZY too small, just a little. so with that thinking, the 122 should be PERFECT for a 6.0 or maybe slightly larger but i have no personal experience with anything other than the 6.0 and the 5.3's. I do STRONGLY believe the 112 is PERFECT for the 5.3's especially since they can make 10lbs of boost with only a 3.2 pulley. this means that they are making enough boost on a stock bottom end, but not over spinning the blower making too high iat's. on my 6.0, i ran a 2.8 pulley and could only see 9lbs of boost in the cold winter months. in the summer, i only see 8.2lbs of boost at my shift points. SO,...to answer your question on the power increase a 122 will make over a 112,... well i really don't know, but i will say it should mate up with a stock 6.0 or slightly larger PERFECTLY. However, i will find out soon enough for myself thanks to leftcoast 32.

The 112H is about a 50 hp difference where as the 122H is over a 100 hp difference. The 122H will definitely feed a larger engine and not run out of air on the top end and flatten off like the 112. I also agree that the 112 is the better blower if you are going to stay below 8psi and want the low end grunt that the 122H will loose down low. The 122H will win the war up top but the 112 will shines down low where most customers drive it all the time.

Well I have regreated selling the 112 after it was gone. The reason being I am not sure what I will gain for extra amount of money I'll have to spend. Also the wait time on the 122 is 4-6 weeks according to Magnacharger, but Joe said he thought he could get one a little sooner. I think I'll recive my motor from Rex and tranny from FLT weeks before I would see the 122 and I don't want to wait anymore than I have to. It has been off the road for about 6 weeks now. So I talked the guy I sold the 112 to into selling it back. Luckily he's a good friend and was willing to sell it back after being excited to have it. I will put it back on my new motor with the 2.8 pulley,60lb injectors and Meth kit I just bought for it. It already has the J tube and 90mm on it. Maybe in the future I will upgrade to the TVS blower. From what I understand this will be the blower to have. The design is supposed to give it the low end power of the 112 and top end of the 122. Priced close to what the 122 is. Seems like it could be worth the wait to get a TVS when they come out from Joe.

Fred,
I think this is a very good choice for you, nothing worse than having your truck down in the summer waiting to get it back together. Like I know and you have said you have been without your truck long enough, time to get that bad boy back together so we can take her to the track and run some low 12's. Good luck with your project and the waiting time will be over and you will be back to those 4-hi launches before you know it..
