Yea, I forgot exhaust that's another 3k
Atomic suspension setup 2k
Brakes 3k
It just never ends when you try and turn a tow truck into a drag truck. Lol I will admit it's fun to gap an Audi S8 on 33" mud tires but it takes a lot out of you and especially your wallet. If your really wanting the truck, go for it! It's a fun long road...

I have everybody for turbos. Including turbos, intercooler, wastegates, bov, drain lines, all the tubing. Have 3" tubing for exhaust so not worried about that. Brakes are brand new. Transmission is next after motor. Been looking for someone to actually build it. Not using the guy I did have.

Not being disrespectful but have you driven anything with 1500hp?
Majority of my customers always want that magically 1000hp but I take them for a ride in a 840rwhp truck and it will blow the drag radials off under 90mph. Turn it down to the mid 600hp range and it hooks and goes to scare them half to death.

Just saying the 1500hp sounds fun and all but last 750hp is going to be useless for anything but at a prepped track and a really good suspension setup.

Twin 78/75 on a 5.3 will be a turd for the first 10 seconds.
Going to a 408 they will still be kinda laggy unless your going with a transbrake.

3" downpipes might be kinda restrictive. You will want to go 3.5" minimum. I always go 4" just for the heck of it. Unless it's on the 2000hp+ drag cars I'll use 5" or 6" aluminum down pipes and they show no pressure at full boost and 8000 rpms.
Going larger on the downpipe will help with spool time also.

We have had really good luck with BTE TH400 transmissions in the heavy trucks and high hp cars. Their Grudge winner transmission is awesome. You can use transbrake in 2nd gear and on a not ideal surface it hooks and goes, can put more boost in it and it pulls awesome.

You might want to sit down and write all this out. I've seen too many guys go in full blast to only get half way and run out of budget.
Look for deals and buy when you can.

there is a learning curve on just managing big power. If you have never had 500,600 or 700 hp I recommend working your way up. Build for bigger power later but start on something more manageable

Thats why i like turbos. Just a few changes in the tune to add more boost slowly.
I always run the 3# wastegate springs to start out with on builds. mainly to do shake down passes and check everything out.

we finished a chevy II with a 12.7CR LSX 427 with Frankenstein heads, CID intake, 135mm throttle body, Gansta 98mm turbo from Jose at FI and some 800# injectors on M1 and the first shake down pass the thing went 4.92s on the back tire for 3.4 seconds from what the datalog showed with front wheel speed.. It was insane. I told him we were going to run the lightest springs in the wastegates and that ended up being 8# which produced 9psi.

Imagine dragging the bumper cause too much boost haha.

I'll attest to that first part. You never forget drifting a dually sideways on an interstate when the turbos come alive.
