First off what kinda budget we working with and second what kinda fuel do you want to run?

We have some dart block LS 427s making 2700hp to the tire on M1 methanol with gansta 98 turbos and also some stock 5.3s in the 1400hp range on M1 with promod 92mm turbo.
Few 408s in the 1500 range on X98 fuel.

And this is going to be a race truck, daily driver, or just all around fun truck?

Last year did a twin turbo 408 dual fuel with a holley dominator. 2 seperate fuel systems, 16 injectors.
first fuel system was for 93 octane and driving around on 10psi on wastegate. Turn boost controller on and at 10psi it swapped fuels and ran on X98 from there to 28-30psi.
kinda best of both worlds. Daily it on 93 and play all you want. when its party time its just one flip of a switch away.

wanting to keep budget for motor around 7k highest being 10k. All around fun truck. Definitely not a daily truck. I've bought an extra truck to daily. Not sure on fuel as I'm unsure where to get higher than 93 around me.

Lme wants close to 30k for a 427 longblock. That's why my crap is taking so long I want to do it right instead of cheap but dam freakin' nation! Over 9k on port fuel dominator and triples, over 7 for custom twin kit. Not including installation or any engine mods yet, suspension, trans or driveline. Shoulda just bought a Z. At least you're Ls instead of LT. Stock LT is badass but modded LS is the ticket. Wish I could get a do over. Gonna be sweet though...some day in the future. Anybody want to buy me out lol?

you MIGHT get 1200-1500 hp out of a junkyard 4.8 once. If you are going that big build it right.

if 93 is all you can get then your going to need a bunch of cubic inches to make power.

Prices are crazy right now on some parts and other parts have a huge backorder.
The last LS 427 we bought parts for with machine work cost was 18k. That is a dart block, callies center counter weighed crank, boostline rods, carillo pistons with light weight tool steel wrist pins, brodix heads, cam motion low lash roller cam, Johnson solid rollers, 3/8 pushrods, crower shaft mounted rockers, 7qt steel oil pan, 10355 oil pump, king xp coated bearings, holley High Ram intake, Billet Atomizer 800PPH injectors. Used the dominator from his previous car and all the wiring along with the Aero 10.0 GPM pump.

It's not cheap to make reliable 1500+ HP especially in a heavy truck. Then you have to have a transmission and rear to hold it also. It snow ***** into craziness.
