You probably don't need to build the bottom end, read up on here and you will be amazed at what these 4.8, 5.3 and 6.0's can put up with bone stock. To be extra safe, I would only go as far as ARP rod bolts and head studs, but that's it IMHO. Just keep the tune in check and you're good to go.

that is what i plan...i guess i should say rebuild, plan on getting a high miles 6.0 and put arp rod bolts main studs and head studs with fresh bearings and seals all around
from what i hear i can put 1000 hp + to the stock bottom end with just arp rod bolts and starting with a 2005+ block with the ls2 rods

i dont plan on making 1000 hp, at least not for a long time, just heard from a few people and on a few threads on here that it would handle it without completely grenading

just figured i would quickly say that i think i'm going to focusing on looking for a 1900, not the 2300.....you guys are right it would just be overkill for what i am looking to do
