I'm pretty sure Tick performance uses Efi you might want to call them. They are just north of Winston Salem. I tried a mail order tune from PCM of NC for just basic heazders install and tune. It was crap and Knocked so bad it would do it going up a hill cursing. Then the revised tune they just turned off my knock sensor. SOOOO yea I didn't use that tune.
Yes, I saw it. Thank you! I've been told of a 1 man show in Moorhead that might be what I'm looking for. I'll be calling him as I just got his number. You use Tick on your truck?

Couple pics at paint shop before and after I had them pull the bed. I wanted to pressure wash the frame and paint it with fresh chassis paint.

They kept the communication open and me in the loop. as they tuned the truck to the best of there "ability". When i picked the truck up it had a check engine light on which they forgot to turn off, and the truck had greasy hand prints all on the hood and drivers side door. I stay about 2 hrs from them, so i had to ship them my pcm so they could remove the check engine light and be without my truck for a few days. Maybe it was just a bad experience for me, but i felt it right to give my 2 cents.
ive had nothing but good experiences with PCM & crap from a speed shop in Wilmington where the guy had no clue of how to dial in the shift points or adjust timing to get rid of spark knock. As for a mail order tune...they aren't a solid investment from anywhere. I know I won't take my truck anywhere but to Alvin for a tweak when I need it.

I'm not going to let my decision me made by 1 post on a forum. I'm still shopping around, I'll go with whom I feel the most comfortable with. Thanks for your input, I'm pretty much shopping around due to stories like yours.

Always best to find the right fit - good call. Very interested in your build - keep posting the progress - looks like she's going to be a fun ride 😆

family is always first...no question. My rig is in the sling right now addressing a nasty tick that just developed in the motor. Pretty sure I've got a broken rocker. Hope I caught it in time.

God, family, business, wife's car, boat then trucks. Haha. Funny how that happens bc it went the opposite direction before I was married!

I'm kicking around the idea of picking up a 6.2 to build on a stand and swap in for the 5.3. Am I crazy for thinking this? I figure I could sell the perfect 42k mile lmg 5.3 for a good amount and just skip a step...
